Marantz 8B Stereo Amplifier
This is an original and fully functioning amp. Instead of just selling this amp as good working condition I took it to an excellent technician to give it good cleaning and ensure the amp remained as original as possible and operated to standards. He did replace the bias supply caps as well as diode protected the selenium rectifier and the meter. I believe all else on the amp is stock and original. The cosmetics are as shown in the pictures which are probably average for the age of the unit. The transformer cover has been repainted. As one would expect the unit sounds very good. In the picture of the underneath side of the map there is a large can capacitor that look a bit dirty. That is the original electrolytic capacitor that has a special paper sleeve around the capacitor which is stock and of course tests fine. I have also take close up photos so you may carefully visually inspect the unit properly.
The output tubes are new 6CA7 Electro Harmonics and burnt in for 5 hours to ensure reliability.
The unit has been biased with the tubes labeled for placement so you can plug them in and the unit should be biased properly. My goal in packing is to have the unit arrive to you in the same condition it leaves my possession. I am selling the unit in an “as is” condition and I do not accept returns. With that said the unit is in excellent working condition, tubes, and bias meter are all in good condition. I will gladly respond to any questions that you may have. For packing: I wrap with plastic sheet then double box. My goal is to have this purchased by someone who will be very happy with the unit.
