I use this unit in my shop to pull mowers that do not run or are even have locked transmissions up onto my lift table. It does the job so very easily. I really like the remote control as i can steer the unit while pulling it up onto the table. I also really like the free spool feature as i can simplepull the cable out to where i need it, hook the mower then lock the spool and pull it in. For the price this has been a great little tool

While I know it sounds odd, I installed this on my zero turn mower. I live in a naturally wet area and zeros get "stuck" easily because of the lack of tread on tires and the way they turn. Normally I just grab the mower and pull it by hand to get the tires to a solid spot. This got old fast. Now I just need a metal electric fence post. I drive it in the ground just a bit, hook up the winch and pull it right out.

With these winches being so reasonably priced I have them everywhere to pull, lift & move heavy items. I have one on the back of my truck for pulling ATV's,riding mowers,UTV's & anything else up my ramps into my truck bed with no effort. I also load & unload heavy equipment via my ramps with ease, I don't need to strain my back anymore. I have them mounted in my shop for pulling vehicles in as it's a small incline- no need for a 2nd pair of hands anymore. Of course I have them on the trailer for rescuing broke down ATV's,UTV's,ect.... I'm spoiled due to these winches!

I bought one of these back in October last year where they still had the crimp on connectors. I use it to pull up my motorcycle on my truck and it does a great job until it stopped working just now in March. I did not have a replacement plan so I had to buy one again, this one I bought the replacement plan for. If you buy yourself one of these I recommend getting the replacement plan it's only .99 for 2 years.

I made an aluminum mounting plate to hold the winch, an ammonia can converted to a battery box, and a work light. I use this winch all the time. I can mount it to my trailers and any 2” receiver hitch. It’s self contained and I can take it anywhere. I mount it to my bike trailer to winch one of my four motorcycles up should they break down. Hook up the winch, mount the bike and using the remote, I winch the bike onto the trailer and steer it into the wheel chock. No more calling my buddies for help. It mounts to my utility trailer and it will go In any 2” receiver. Very handy tool to have. I will never own another winch without a remote.

My neighbor bought this and put it on so after yrs of going to i did. It wasnt bad to install and seems to be ok for the price. I will only use it for front blade in the snow so it should last awhile. The only thing i didnt check was it only has a remote fob which is ok but it would be better to have one i can mount, probably figure a way to mount the fob.

Was able to pull ATV to trailer, would have been nicer if the cord to the motor longer even if making the cords to battery were shorter. I just flipped mine, but then the lugs were not the correct size and had to be replaced.

I just got this and installed it - so no performance review yet. However, the batteries in the remote were dead when I first tried to use the winch. Obviously my heart sank when it did not work and I was hoping that was the problem after spending a few hours installing it. Be careful gently lifting out the circuit board to install the batteries. After installing the new batteries (CR2023), it worked fine, but again, I have not really put it to the test yet.

Love the remote feature. I used it recently to remove/replace old posts under my deck. With snatch block it pulled old concrete 320lb post pillars with no problem at all! I must admit that this was a replacemenr as the 1st one had defective cable which was replaced without a problem.

I actually mounted it to the floor of my cargo van in back, total of 3 vans, with two pulleys and it assists lifting my portable carpet cleaning equipment up for me.. about 100 + lbs n/p definitely saved my back! It is a bit loud Even with rubber washers between the metal.. Otherwise it's good

Only thing I got to say is I had to change the wiring on the remote. The box was designed to be put near the winch and that is a bad place. So after rewiring it I put the box next to the battery and used the longer wires to the winch. Operates great.

This is a great little winch for ATVs but the remotes break and they are more costly to replace than buying a whole new winch. The badlands company needs to make replacement remotes more cost friendly so they can be replaced without having to buy a new winch. This is my 3rd winch because of remotes not the winches.

I installed this on a utility and the power leads were about 20 inches to short to reach the battery. Also if this was am ATV the leads should be reversed to allow a more protected location for the control box. Still a very good product for the money ( if the remote holds up). Time will tell.

the wireless remote is great. good power. it will pull a golf cart up 7 ft ramp into pickup. Only negative is +12V connect protrudes torward back of winch. You need to leave space away from back of bed so it doesnt contact metal truck bed.

If you have a alternator on your atv, you will have no problem keeping your battery in good health. When you use the winch make sure to not give throttle and let the winch pull you not your wheels. This will help it from rolling up wrong. It’s a very nice winch for the money the plate fits a Honda foreman 500 rubicon if you have drill bits and you order the plate. I would recommend.

This winch works really well on my UTV. It is a little noisy but works just as it should . I actually bought a backup one in case this one fails . I also set up the backup unit on a hitch mount so I can move it from vehicle to vehicle . I have pulled downed trees out of the trails , pulled other stuck utv's out of ditches and winched harvested animals up hill so I didn't have to carry them out . Very pleased .
